The third eye

Today I ve decide to go and take some picture of my brother Big. Started with a standard 55 mm camera after few shoot it become clear that I was not getting what I wanted. My desire was to take picture of the CCTV camera, nevertheless the battle was unbalance. The idea of having eyes watching me is so heavy and imposing that to compensate this effect I choose to use a telephoto lens accentuated the size of the CCTV camera. What strike me is their number and how adapted they are to their environment; different shapes, sizes, lenses depending on the purpose. The difficulty is to take picture in private area considering the discrete size of the telephoto lens, therfore I got kick out from the shopping for not having permission (understandable). On my journey back I try to hide from the CCTV camera feeling a bit like thief but when I think about it I am only retaking my image. However, I become conscious that they were no way to escape this third eye, everywhere I passed I was recorded up to 100 meter to my house.
The shape and technology use by the video is quite aesthetic similar to those robot design in science fiction film, cable coming in and out vein caring energy and citizen identity. 24 hours, 7\7 days a week hours of recording.
